Nutworks
Yandina
Roasts macadamias on site at Pioneer Road, with the factory floor visible from the shop. Their chocolate-coated macadamias and macadamia butter are hamper staples.
Buderim Ginger
Yandina
Fifty metres up Pioneer Road from Nutworks. Moved from Buderim to Yandina in 1978 and the site is now The Ginger Factory. Confectionery ginger, syrups and preserves.
Wicked Nuts
Sunshine Coast
A small Sunshine Coast factory making flavoured peanuts nobody else is making — whiskey maple bacon, chocolate stout, piña colada, tequila chilli and lime.
Kenilworth Dairies
Kenilworth, Mary Valley
Still making cheese in the original 1952 Kenilworth cheese factory. Their club cheddars — garlic and pepper, sweet chilli and sour cream — are what we put in the grazing hampers.
Moffat Beach Brewing Co
Caloundra West
Started as a brewpub at Moffat Beach, now brewing on a four-vessel system at their Caloundra Road Production House. Their Passenger Pale Ale goes into our beer hampers.
Glass House Brewery
Forest Glen
Brewing at the Kunara Precinct on Mons Road, named for the Glass House Mountains. We stock their West Coast IPA.
Why local producers make a better hamper
Most gift hampers are assembled from whatever the big distributors are moving — the same wine, the same chocolate, the same crackers you’d find in any other box. There’s nothing wrong with it, but the recipient has usually seen it before.
Sourcing from producers we can drive to means we know what’s in the box, we can taste it before it goes in, and the person opening it gets something they probably haven’t tried. It also means the money stays with small Australian makers rather than an importer.
